'Platinum Jubilee LIVE: The Platinum Jubilee Pageant'
Evoking the Coronation at the very start of the Platinum Pageant, the Bells of Westminster Abbey will chime, as they did on Coronation Day.
As they do so, The Mounted Band of the Household Cavalry will lead The Gold State Coach along a crowd-thronged pageant route back to Buckingham Palace. Original film footage recorded on Coronation Day will be used to recreate the magic of that extraordinary occasion.
The Pageant itself will bring to life iconic moments from The Queen’s reign as well as showcasing our changing society over the past 70 years. 10,000 people are involved, including the military, over 6,000 volunteers, performers, key workers and 2,500 members of the public.
National treasures and iconic figures from music, film, sport and the arts will take part in the Pageant including much-loved celebrity names, alongside military personnel, key workers and volunteers.
Follow along with the Royal Family Channel as we celebrate Her Majesty’s 70 years on the throne.

Paddington Bearis a fictional character inchildren's literature. He first appeared on 13 October 1958 in the children's bookA Bear Called Paddingtonand has been featured in more than twenty books written by British authorMichael Bond, and illustrated byPeggy Fortnumand other artists.
The friendlyspectacled bearfrom "darkestPeru" – with his old hat, battered suitcase, duffel coatand love ofmarmalade– has become a classic character inBritish children's literature.Ananthropomorphisedbear, Paddington is always polite – addressing people as "Mr", "Mrs" and "Miss" but rarely by first names – and kindhearted, though he inflicts hard stares on those who incur his disapproval. He has an endless capacity for innocently getting into trouble, but he is known to "try so hard to get things right". He was discovered inLondon Paddington stationby the (human) Brown family who adopted him and gives his full name as "Paddington Brown," as his original name in bear language was too hard for them to pronounce.
As of June 2016, the Paddington Bear franchise was owned byVivendi'sStudioCanal. Bond, however, continued to own the publishing rights to his series, which was licensed toHarperCollinsin April 2017
