후지 산 Fuji Mount , 富士山

 

해발 3,776m로 혼슈[本州] 중부 야마나시 현[山梨縣]과 시즈오카 현[靜岡縣]의 태평양 연안에 접해 있다. 1707년 마지막으로 폭발한 휴화산으로, 기저의 둘레가 125㎞에 이른다. 아이누인의 전승에 따르면 이 산의 이름은 '영원한 삶'이라는 뜻으로 BC 286년에 일어난 지진 때문에 화산이 생겨났고, 이로 인해 비와 호[琵琶湖]의 바닥이 더욱 가라앉았다고 한다.

 

5개의 작은 호수가 후지 산 기슭에 있는데, 가와구치 호[河口湖]는 호수의 잔잔한 수면에 후지 산의 영상이 거꾸로 비치는 모습으로 유명하다. 이 지역은 지하수와 개울이 풍부해 제지·화학 산업과 농업에 유리하며, 무지개송어 양식과 낙농업도 행해진다. 대칭적으로 균형이 잘 잡혀 있고 산꼭대기가 눈으로 덮인 이 원뿔형의 화산은 일본에서 많은 예술적 주제가 되어왔다.

 

후지 산은 신성시되며 일본의 상징으로서 자기 동일시의 가치를 지녀 해마다 여름이 되면 수천 명의 일본인이 산꼭대기의 신사로 등산을 한다. 후지-하코네-이즈 국립공원[富士箱根伊豆國立公園]의 주요지형물이다.

莢狀雲（英文名：Lenticular cloud）是一種雲形，以透鏡形狀出現在高空，通常形成於風的吹向。按照種類分為：莢狀層積雲（Stratocumulus lenticularis，Sc len），莢狀高積雲（Altocumulus lenticularis，Ac len），莢狀卷積雲（Cirrocumulus lenticularis，Cc len）。

Lenticular cloud (莢狀雲)

Lenticular clouds (Latin: Lenticularis lentil-shaped, from lenticula lentil) are stationary clouds that form mostly in the troposphere, typically in parallel alignment to the wind direction. They are often comparable in appearance to a lens or saucer. Nacreous clouds that form in the lower stratosphere sometimes have lenticular shapes.

There are three main types of lenticular clouds: altocumulus standing lenticular (ACSL), stratocumulus standing lenticular (SCSL), and cirrocumulus standing lenticular (CCSL), varying in altitude above the ground.
